High light from style xl

Here are a few of the top high lights from style XL other than meeting a bunch of the most fabulous women I have ever had the pleasure to meet.

The best thing I enjoyed the most and took quite a bit from was the body positive work shop which was held on the second day of Style XL and was hosted by daisy from I will not wrap myself up in smocks and apologies blog it was very informative and thought provoking.

My fravourite outfit from the catwalk was this lovely bikini from chubby cartwheels, an American brand which sent a few items from there new collection and just love how quirky the bikini is.

I also fell in love with this dress from A Rose like this design which was her first collection of clothes she has deigned and she has done a fantastic job they look wonderful. I love how she has used different patterns and put them together and yet they look great.

I also loved her see through kaftan dress which would be great to wear on holiday with a cute bikini or swimsuit.

I also liked this dress from clairebella's closet which was a sneak peak of one of her own designs, the material looks lovely and I love the colour.

I also loved watching the model XL pageant during the evening my favourite category was when they had to make and outfit from either recycled materials or charity shop finds  and it had represent them as a person as well. They where all fantastic but then two that stood out to me was from Sarah and Sian (the winner of the pageant) who made dresses from paper and shopping bags yet they both looks amazing in them and did such a fabulous job.

Proud sister at style xl

This weekend just gone I was at style xl with my sister April who was one of the lovely models for the event. she looked amazing the whole day and it was only her second time doing any type of modelling and I knew she was extremely nervous and excited for the event, but she did a great job.

April's first catwalk show was for Topsy Curvy and looked quite stunning in a black track suit with glitter detail. It was quite shock seeing her in a track suit as I don't think she has worn one since we had to for PE in high school, which was a little while ago.

She also got to model for lady volumptous wearing there Cosette dress which she has had her eye on since it first came online and she did not want to change out of the dress  and  now I have been hinted at a number of times that it would be a great present for her upcoming birthday.

She also got to model for scarlet and Jo as a last minute add on as they thought she looked amazing in one of their new designs, which she was just trying on at the moment the other models where going on to the catwalk and so was basically thrown on to the cat walk.

I am most proud of her as she was one of the VIP models for Curvy Kate lingerie in the evening event. I know this took April courage as it was the first time she had ever done anything like this, she hasn't even worn a bikini before.

She looked fantastic even though she was incredibly nervous but yet still rock the catwalk in this cute baby doll and her mis match underwear set.

April was very brave and was an inspiration for a few of the other women at the event looking confident and fabulous all day. We can't wait for the next style hopefully next year as we had a blast.

Lush goodie bag

After the lush VIP event we were given a goodie bag each as we went home, I was so excited to see what was in the bag I couldn't wait till I got home and so I open it on the train.

When I spend the bag inside was a box wrapped in one the of Lush's scarfs which are made from 100% recycled plastic yet they feel so soft.

To my surprise there was more than just a box but a few other items as well which included steeping stones foot scrub, rub rub rub shower scrub, Sakura bath bomb, mask of magnaminty face mask and sunblock sunscreen wash as well as the butterfly gift box.

The irony was that rub rub rub, mask of magnaminty and Sakura bath bomb were all my favourites and I had only bought a new set the previous week.

I was a little more patient with opening the butterfly (mostly because it told me what was inside on the box) so I waited till I got home to open it. Inside the butterfly gift box is the sultana of soap and Ro's argon body conditioner, which I can't wait to try out.

Here a picture of everything I got from the lush VIP event including a few item I bought which where exclusive from the Oxford street branch brought over for a limited time.

Goals

This post is about my goals for the next six months.

My first goal is to get a new job as I have recently been made redundant from my previous work place, fingers crossed should happen soon already had one interview.

My second goal is to blog more other than the June challenge I have been quite sporadic with my post so I am aiming to try to blog at least once a week.

My third goal is to be more social with other out side my circle of friends as I can be quite antisocial at times and want to start getting out there and meeting new people.

My last goal for the next six months is to be more body positive and try out different clothing styles as I tend to stick to what I know works for me and want shake it up a bit, maybe even try on/wear a bikini which I have never done before.

Wish me good luck with these I think I might need it :)

Selfie

I thought for today's selfie blog instead of just post one or two random selfies I thought I would show how my hair has changed over the last couple of months.

I started out with blonde hair  which I liked but was a lot of up keep.

I then dyed it pink mostly out of boredom and felt like a change my favourite of all the colours I ever been but unfortunately is only semi permanent.

My current colour is now black as I could not go to a interview with pink hair. I don't know how long I will last as black as I am already thinking of going back to my natural hair colour.

Ootd

My outfit fit of the day was this lovely ASOS curve dress which I got from the London clothes swap back in may, where I instantly fell in love with it.

I was out with my friends at a local pub for a few drinks to celebrate my friends birthday and thought that this dress would be a excellent to wear for the event as it a really good smart casual look to it.

I top with a lovely PVC fronted waterfall cardigan from yours clothing and some  pumps from Primark.

Day 20 of blog everyday in June challenge.

My haul

The other day I recieve all my bits I bought online on the same day which rarely happens even more shocking was the postman actually deliver my stuff and didn't have work to the sorting office woohoo.

I received my monthly crown and glory glitterati which is full with the most wonderful hair pieces and each month has a theme, this months theme was tropical in the package was a orchid fascinator, a humming bird fascinator, a cocktail umbrella fascinator, fruit segment Alice band and some colourful flower Bobby pins. I loved this theme it's great for the summer when I wear more colour clothes and like to do more with my hair.

My second package was from corset story where I got deal in their sale section I firstly bought a beautiful black satin under bust corset for my sister and I bought myself the lovely black with white umbrellas banned apparel cardigan to go with my other banned apparel bits I been buying since I found out they did larger sizes at London edge.

My last package was from the amazing Sarah who bought a corset and it didn't fit her so she swapped it with me and I have to say I love it, it's amazing and I love you for swapping with me.

June blogger challenge

I came across daily blogger challenge for the month of June on my big fat blog and I thought it was a great idea and I would like to take part in, so here is my post for today's and the theme for todays challenge is the reason behind your blog name.

My blog name is my real name it actually took me ages to come with anything as I kept drawing blank on a name or its was already taken, so I thought about what I want this blog to represent and the answer was simple I wanted it to be about me as I am take it or leave it and I didn't and don't really expect anyone to be reading my blog.

I feel like my blog is almost like a self help tool for my depression  I like writing down all the about the positive things I've done and when I've had a great day out I then look back on them on my bad days and say it will pass and I also feel like I don't have hide anything on here so this is me Tammy-Michelle.

Manic panic hair dye

Ok I tried manic panic hair dye for the first time the other week I've been dying my hair since I high school and I have only ever used conventual hair dye that you find in the supermarkets such as live colour, nice and easy ect, but a while ago I was introduced to manic panic by a friend and I was really into there against animal testing and completely surprise and love the fact that the hair dye is completely vegan friendly I had to buy one.

I've been building up the courage to dye my hair epically as it's such a dramatic colour and will make such a statement and as I have been going through a bad time with things at the moment so I thought now is the time to make a change so decided I give it a go.

I heard that it get everywhere and on everything but I didn't have any problem all I got was a small bit on my arm and neck which came off with a little scrubbing like any normal dye I've used in the past, the only town side is that bevause it's only semi permanent it did run a bit after I washed my hair I solved that by putting my hair up in a clip after washing my hair until I need to dry it.

The pot recommend leaving in for 30 minutes where I actually left for a little longer and I did apply the heat from a hair dryer as recommend to help give a more vibrant colourso After approximately 50 or so minutes I rinsed out with cold water as I heard that the cold water help lock the colour in better.

so far I had fushsia shock colour hair for three weeks and I don't see any fading in the colour as yet and my hair still feel nice and soft and never it did not have that horrible smell that you that you usually get after you've coloured your hair.
I would totally recommend manic panic not only did take beautifully on my hair it was easy to use and I didn't even use the whole pot so I have some left over for when I need to touch up the colour I like so much in I've just bought the purple haze for my sister as she loves how well my hair has turned out.

After three weeks still looking nice and bright 😆

Curvy con

Haven't posted anything for a while so sorry been really busy with work and stuff just haven't had much free time time but I managed to get a weekend off finally and I was able to go to the first ever curvy convention in London.

I had such a great time was with my sister april of Vampira246 and my friend Jodie who is the creator of be a goddess blog.while at curvy con we got to meet some lovely people including the amazing people behind Nicky rockets tshirts and few of the lovely bloggers I have been following but had yet to meet including the wonderful debz from not so secret diary of a wannabe princess and the amazing betty from pamper and curves.

My friend Jodie was the guest bloggers for voodoo vixen and she looked amazing in the Katnis dress and matching cardigan so jealous of her as I am a huge fan of voodoo vixen dresses.

There was a wonderful catwalk show going on all day and I have to show a few of my favourites from the day first being the dress I want/need to get from voodoo vixen, I just love the tropical print and it has a stretch back which different from other voodoo vixens I have seen great for those like my deal sister and friend whom have ample breast and find difficult to find outfits that fit without squishing there bosoms.

I also love this dress from simply be the colour is amazing and I had to go over to there stall and feels lovely and soft it lucky they didn't have my size as I would have spent the last of my money on it. I love the glitter band that gives a little definition.

another popular brand that had a catwalk was ASOS curve who where show casing their summer collection for this year and I fell in love with these bikinis  I cant choose which one I prefer the white or the coral but either way the girls looked stunning in them.

get them from here

Figure 8 catwalk was hosted by Lisa Riley to promote her new exclusive collection coming out later in the year she looked great in the dresses she wore on the cat walk but my favourite dress from was this lovely blue dress I liked the cut out shoulders and glitter effect I see myself wearing it for an evening out somewhere special.

There was also the big day show casing a few of their wedding dresses which they all looked so amazing it.This one was my favourite by a small amount mostly because it had this lovely shimmering effect on the bottom that reminds me of clouds it looked stunning on her.
check them out here

The last cat walk show I saw was for Nicky rockets t shirts and its hard to choose my favourite as I naughtily bought my favourite from their collection them on they day and I have say it's a very comfortable t shirt and the kitty is so cute!
Get the t shirt here

If I had to choose another Nicky rockets t shirt from the catwalk it would be the invasion of the killer curves and the only reason I didn't get at curvy con was because they sold out of my size :(.

It was a wonderful day a curvy con meets some interesting people and getting see beautiful clothing the organisers did a great job especially at it was their first convention and I would like to give them a great big thank you.

Here are some more highlights from the day

Club AntiChrist

When to March's AC with my sister and the theme was horns, mask and high heels

I have to say this was the worst AC I have been to in the past few years Firstly my costume didn't arrive in time so had find so thing last minute but eventually I but together a few items and it kindawant together.
I had some hysteria machine winter horn and put it together with my old PVC dress and worn a pair of white heels hoping they matched the horns.

The only thing that went right was the make up, We used the horn God as inspiration thinking of vines and leaves and it grew from that idea and turned out I think pretty awesome in my opinion.

After the torture of trying to sort out the outfit I then start come down with the flu during AC so I couldn't really enjoy myself as I spent most of the night shivering or feeling extremely tired.

I was also not a fan of the new compare he kept getting caught in the wires and wasn't as entertaining as previous compares, he seemed to not be organised and I was a little miffed that he said an act would start in 10 minutes do I went to get a drink and he then introduced them just as I got to the bar so I ended up missing a bit of the act, I was upset that there was no satan strip show that is always my fravourite act.

The positive thing of the night was they where Playing the labyrinth in the cinema which is one of my all time favourite movies and I got to catch up with quite a few of my lovely AC friends who are alway amazing and there was some great music played by the DJs.
